Surf – Beach & Reef Breaks:

Aussie Pipeline – Conneeleys, Sussex – Narrawallee – Mollymook – Ulladulla – Bawley Point,

Surfing book “Surfing Australia”, speaks of the NSW South Coast as “A Surf Adventurer’s Dream”. “For a length of coastline stretching from Jervis Bay to Bawley Point the number and quality of surfing break is incredible”. They mention a few such as the famed “Aussie Pipe” near Jervis Bay, “Green Island” at Bendalong, and “Guilitines” at Bawley Point, and the hype they claim is justified.

Address: 10 Osrick Ave, Ulladulla NSW 2539     Phone: 02 4454 4394                Mobile: 0424 005 184          Web: Pottery by Elsie Cogar

Each item is formed on the potters wheel, not from mold making. The platter, bowl, plate and mug are unique in size and shape and identified as a set through the design, color or concept.

Products are either hand painted with under glaze and then glazed or hand painted with glaze. They are functional artwork usable and aesthetically pleasing, making each moment or event special. Objects of symbolic and ceremonial significance.

These vessels have their own unique feel and texture, being handcrafted and handmade allows me to create each and every item with a good quantity of the material making them feel natural and heavier than conventional dishes or home wares. However I am able to modify the thickness if you prefer fine pieces. These bowls, platters, plates and mugs have a special feel when you eat or serve food in them.

Handmade terracotta pottery bowls are lead-free, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. Each item is formed on the potters wheel, not from a mold making each handmade pottery bowl a unique size and shape and identified as a set through the design, colour or concept.

Whales – View from Land – Mollymook – Ulladulla – Bawley Point

Whales frolic on the NSW South Coast of Mollymook Beach, Ulladulla & Bawley Point.

Where have all the whales been? This has been the question on many peoples lips these past few weeks. The Telegraph ran an article 3 weeks ago reporting that the whales were migrating south further out to sea due to the currents.

Well that has certainly changed this past week with spectacular performances off Bannister Head, Mollymook Beach and the Ulladulla light house with further reports off Bawley Point. Guests at Mollymook Beach Waterfront relaxed on their deck and were entertained in spectacular fashion on Friday and Saturday October 19 & 20, 2012. Earlier in the week guests from Tumut had reported exciting performances off Mollymook Beach and the Ulladulla Light House viewing vantage points. Similarly the council land adjoining Bannisters Resort, the “Secret Garden” just a 100 or so metres up the road and the Bannister Headland “Rain Forrest walk” offered excellent vantage points for viewing the whales from land.  (Click on images to enlarge)

BIG4 “Camp and Care” Fund Raiser for Lake Conjola Bush Fire Services

BIG4,conjola,bush fire,mollymook,milton,ulladulla,camp and care

Camp andCare with BIG4 at Conjola Lakeside Van Park to support Lake Conjola Rural Bush Fire Brigade

Join thousands of happy campers on Friday 16 November for Camp and Care with BIG4 2012 – Australia’s BIGgest night of charitable camping. BIG4 Conjola Lakeside Van Park is encouraging locals to enjoy a night under the stars, for a nominal $20 site fee to be donated by the park to the Lake Conjola Rural Bush Fire Brigade.

Camp and Care with BIG4 encourages people to try camping for the first time and to explore a holiday destination close to home, (Ulladulla, Milton, Mollymook, Narrawallee) while helping a worthy cause. All proceeds from the park will go to the Lake Conjola Rural Bush Fire Brigade, which combats bushfires and enables the community to be better prepared and protected from bushfires.

Guests staying at BIG4 Conjola Lakeside Van Park will be able to enjoy the park’s great facilities, but can also indulge in the many great local attractions that Lake Conjola offers. Park manager, Gail Taylor says the event is a great opportunity to grab the kids or a group of friends and experience the thrill of camping in the name of charity.

“You can bring the kids, pack up the boat and spend a day on the lake launching from our very own boat ramp. All you need is $20, your camping gear and a sense of adventure – we provide the rest!” Gail says.

With 100 BIG4 Holiday Parks participating in Camp and Care with BIG4 this year, Rachel Pugh – General Manager of Marketing at BIG4 Holiday Parks, says the ninth annual camping event will appeal to all holiday makers wanting to try something new and make a difference.

Camp and Care with BIG4 gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy a night of camping at a flat fee of $20 per site, with the added bonus of knowing the money is going to a local person, group or organisation in need,” Rachel says.

“Last year’s event was a great success, raising much needed funds for causes all over the country. We’re looking forward to working with the people of Australia to make a small difference once again,” adds Rachel.

Many parks will be hosting additional activities over the weekend to celebrate the event such as pancake breakfasts, face painting and BBQs to name just a few, so check out the list of participating parks online and explore a new, or familiar, area for a good cause.

Pitch in on Friday 16 November and book your powered camping site at one of 100 participating parks, at BIG4.com.au/comecamp

Camp and Care with BIG4 is proudly sponsored by maui, CIL Caravan and RV Insurance, and Mitsubishi Motors.

Location Location Mollymook Beach

Mollymook Beach View was built in the 1950’S, and was recently updated for the modern comforts of today. Still retaining the romance of a “50’s Beach Shack” it is ideally situated adjacent to Mollymook Beach and opposite the Mollymook “Icon Park”, Mollymook Beach Hut Café & the Mollymook 9 hole golf course. Whilst originally a three bedroom residence, we have closed off two bedrooms leaving a spacious  one bedroom residence specifically for a couple to enjoy in private. It has all conveniences whilst maintaining the old 50’s charm which is boosted by a renovated kitchen & bathroom, freshly painted throughout & with a comfortable contemporary “queen” size bed.
