Whales – View from Land – Mollymook – Ulladulla – Bawley Point

Whales frolic on the NSW South Coast of Mollymook Beach, Ulladulla & Bawley Point.

Where have all the whales been? This has been the question on many peoples lips these past few weeks. The Telegraph ran an article 3 weeks ago reporting that the whales were migrating south further out to sea due to the currents.

Well that has certainly changed this past week with spectacular performances off Bannister Head, Mollymook Beach and the Ulladulla light house with further reports off Bawley Point. Guests at Mollymook Beach Waterfront relaxed on their deck and were entertained in spectacular fashion on Friday and Saturday October 19 & 20, 2012. Earlier in the week guests from Tumut had reported exciting performances off Mollymook Beach and the Ulladulla Light House viewing vantage points. Similarly the council land adjoining Bannisters Resort, the “Secret Garden” just a 100 or so metres up the road and the Bannister Headland “Rain Forrest walk” offered excellent vantage points for viewing the whales from land.  (Click on images to enlarge)
