Mollymook Surf Club Excel at the 2016 NSW Country Surf Titles

Premier South Coast surf club Mollymook had a large contingent of competitors at the Country surf Championships held at South West Rocks over the weekend of February 6 & 7.

The NSW Country Championships comprises surf clubs outside the Newcastle-to-Illawarra corridor and showcases some of the state’s best surf sports athletes with around 1500 competitors, hundreds of officials and volunteers and a large contingent of supporters and families present at South West Rocks.

Whilst many Mollymook Surf Club athletes excelled, the stand out performances would have to have been those from Tony Ireland who won GOLD in the 30-39 Male category in each of the following events: Surf Board Race, Board Rescue, Iron Man, Rescue Tube Race, Single Ski and SILVER in the Surf Race.
