The Ulladulla Sea pool and Native Cafe

The Ulladulla Sea pool, enjoyed by the local community and tourist alike is now open all year for a trial period during 2019. The Ulladulla Sea Pool is located at the southern end of Ulladulla Harbour, and can be accessed via the boardwalk from the Harbour side or from Wason Street.

No entry fee applies at the Ulladulla sea pool, which is inspected daily by Council staff prior to opening.  Opening times are 6 days per week from 6.30 am daily except Tuesdays when it is closed for cleaning. (Closing times vary during the year. Generally 8.00 pm during daylight saving and 6.00 pm outside daylight saving)

The Shoalhaven council makes it clear that the Ulladulla sea pool is unsupervised and users are responsible for their own safety with parents responsible for the safety of children in and around the Ulladulla sea pool areas.

In the event of an emergency, please call “000”.   The public can report any maintenance issues by phone weekdays, Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm to Council’s Swim & Fitness Hotline, (02) 4429 3652 or after hours on (02) 4421 3100. 

NOTE: The pool is unsupervised.

The Ulladulla sea Pool was built back in the 1950’s. I first discovered it when visiting during the 1990’s when I would come down from Bathurst on holidays looking for a seaside destination for future retirement. In fact so impressed was I with the Ulladulla sea pool we bought a unit directly above at ‘Harbour Gates’ Wason Street, Ulladulla.

NOTE: Locals swim along the black line whereas city visitors swim in the centre of the lanes, a discipline learnt in the City where they are use to sharing lanes. It’s an idyllic spot, and after a swim you have the beautiful Native cafe above the harbour for coffee.
