Daylight saving arrives during these last days of lockdown

Tim provides us with some Mollymook Ocean swimming stats for September and Fiona gives us an insight into what she does to fill in her day during lockdown in Sydney.

Tim’s Mollymook Ocean swimming stats for September

Tim writes: “Some Lockdown swimming stats from my watch: In September there were 26 swims for me with an average water temperature of 15.5 degrees C.

The warmest water day for the month was the 20th at 18. The day prior to that measurement was 16 and the day after the recording of 18 was a temp of 16. The coldest water temp recorded for the month was Monday 6th Sept at 14 degrees. The coldest day recorded this winter was Monday 2nd August at 13 degrees.

As mentioned September the 20th saw a balmy current visit. One swim at 6.45am and another at 11.30am both recorded a water temp of 18″.

Fiona’s life during lockdown.

Fiona writes: “In lock down I have been doing LOTS of bush walking within our LGA – Ku-ring- Gai. They include the ‘Lane Cove National Park- great north walk’, ‘Sphinx Track (Bobbin Head)’ and ‘St. Ives Wild Flower gardens’.  Below are some pics of the wild flowers and some of the friendly friends I have met on my walks…

She concludes; I can’t wait until I can come down and once again begin to enjoy the south coast wildlife!!”
