The Dawning of a New Day
.
.
The previous night was exhaustive. Being awarded the ‘Yellow Jersey’, Issi was filled with elation, what an accomplishment? She had so much trouble relaxing and getting some sleep. With about four hours sleep she was nonetheless up bright and early to meet the press and pose for photo’s. Likewise the local Mollymook Ulladulla participants lined up for a group photo prior to embarking on the next stage that would take them through to Mytleford.
.
As the ‘Tour de Vic’ entered its final stages, the pressure was off the peloton as the overall tour placings are typically settled before the final stage. Traditionally, the final stage starts with champagne served by the race leader, on-the-road photo opportunities and joking around. Here we see the peloton only 10 minutes out from Milawa already stopping for coffee and wine tasting at the ‘Cheese Factory’.

Here the group stop once again to clown around at the tiny hamlet of Everton.

Chrismont Estate
.
Time out: The elderly couple who had travelled from Mollymook to witness the ‘Tour de Vic’ couldn’t maintain the pace, so they called it a day after the Milawa stage and chose to head to ‘King Valley’ for some R&R. The highly rated ‘Chrismont Estate’ didn’t disappoint, lovely wine, excellent food, north facing and views over the vineyard and King Valley.
