The 35th Shoalhaven Business Awards gala presentation was held in Nowra. The evening attracted almost 400 local business people to witness the presentation of awards in the 18 various categories. The southern Shoalhaven area was represented by Cupitt’s Winery who were successful in two categories namely: ‘Excellence in Tourism & Hospitality’ and ‘Excellence in Sustainability’.

Dolphins are regular visitors to the Mollymook area. Pics attached were taken recently of the dolphins in a very playful mood.

The ‘Ulladulla Schnitzel House and Oyster Bar‘ have now been open for a while and are being well supported by the locals over the winter period. I paid them a visit last week and was very impressed with the quality and in particular, the quantity of food served by lovely customer friendly staff. Craft ALLPRESS coffee: Coffee sommelier’s visiting the area recently from Melbourne headed straight to Craft upon hearing they served organic ALLPRESS coffee. They were very impressed finding such excellent coffee served in the local area. Link for more details: Craft ALLPRESS coffee

The ‘Florance Head’ bush walk in the Morton National Park ranks with some of the best walks in the area for amazing scenery and bird life. This particular walk is reasonably flat and only a few km it total length making for an easy relaxing outing. Highly recommended. Link to Florance Head Bush Walk highlights

Mollymook Surf Club Beach Patrols: President Rodney Austin advised that the surf club weekend patrols will commence on Saturday September 28 2019 and continue through till the end of April 2020. Council will employ mid-week life-gaurds from Monday December 2, 2019 through to the end of February 2020 during the hours from 9.00 am till 5.00 pm
St Isidores Restaurant: Co-owners Alex Delly and partner Jo Thomas have recently closed their St Isidore restaurant after an eight year term serving countless numbers of very happy and satisfied diners. During this period they were recognised with a hat on four occasions in the ‘Good Food Awards’ as well as being annually recognised among the top restaurants in regional NSW. They are now in the process of preparing a new venue at 4/41 Wason Street Milton. Their focus at their new venture according to one press release will be of a similar philosophy focusing on fine wine and gourmet food.
Mrs Tops Restaurant: With great sadness Hostess Vanessa lost her battle with cancer and passed away during August. Our thoughts and prayers are with husband Anatolij during this difficult period.
