NSW Tourism Awards
Cupitt’s Winery and Brewery and Mollymook Beach Waterfront were awarded GOLD at the 2017 NSW Tourism Awards held in Sydney on November 16, 2017. South Coast MP Shelley Hancock congratulated the two businesses, saying “To be recognised as the best in your industry certainly acknowledges your exceptional businesses that showcases our region to the state and nationally”.
“Cupitt’s Winery and Brewery took home the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries award and Mollymook Beach Waterfront was the winner of the Hosted Accommodation category.”
Speaking at the Awards, Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall highlighted the importance of tourism and events to the State’s economy and congratulated the winners. “To be recognised at the NSW Tourism Awards is an outstanding achievement and well deserved recognition. The NSW Visitor Economy is the envy of every other State, with the greatest share of domestic and international visitors, visitor nights and expenditure, and an impressive calendar of major events across Sydney and rural and regional NSW, attracting millions of tourists all year round,” Mr Marshall said.

Milton’s St. Isidore restaurant has received the region’s only hatted status in the recently released 2018 Good Food Guide. The ‘Good Food Guide’ recognises excellence in culinary fare.
St Isidore retained it’s one hat rating for the third consecutive year having first received the honour back in 2016.
‘Paddock to Plate’ is Alex’s philosophy and designs his menu’s to maximise the use of home grown and local produce where ever possible.

The Awards for Excellence is a nationally recognised, independently judged awards program that celebrates exceptional service and culinary talent across the state. The Awards for Excellence is the only program in Australia where the judging criteria is determined by consumers who rank what is important to them in the dining experience.

The annual Christmas Millhouse Art Exhibition at the Ulladulla Civic Centre (downstairs) showcases the latest artwork by Millhouse Artists, both traditional and contemporary in all media. Mollymook Beach Reserve Inclusive Playspace
The Mollymook Inclusive Playspace, “Livvi’s Place”, is the first of its kind in the Shoalhaven and helps continue to showcase the Shoalhaven as a leader in inclusive tourism. The aim of the playspace design is to create a space where all ages and abilities play and socialise, side by side. It incorporates shared pathways, all inclusive play equipment (including seniors play), shade, seating, tables and a ‘Changing Places’ amenities building, all within a fully fenced area.
Touched By Olivia was founded in 2006 in memory of Olivia Perkins. The Foundation believes that all children can lead healthier and happier lives, and it is their mission to advocate for an inclusive society, connected by play through Livvi’s Place National Network of inclusive playspaces. The 6 principles of inclusive play are: 1) Everyone can play, 2) Access to nature, 3) Total experience, 4) A connection to community, 5) Play independence, and 6) Friendship.
