Friday morning at Mollymook beach, the conversations focused on the AFL and NRL grand finals to be played this weekend. Divergent opinions surfaced in favour of the various teams. Who would win? This was the perplexing question on everyone’s lips.
The local ‘soothsayer’ spoke up to foretell the winners in advance. First there were ducks and ducklings, what is nature telling you? There arrival is indicative of a Swans victory. Secondly there appears a seal fishing in the ocean, right in front of us. Again you have to look for the signs, it’s foretelling a sharks victory.

For the health conscious, a day at Mollymook usually begins around 6 am. Some choose a workout in the gym, others go for a jog or a brisk morning walk, that includes climbing stairs, followed by a 1 to 2 Km swim, & concludes with coffee & cake at the Beach Hut cafe.
Chez adds: And don’t forget sipping our coffee in the morning sun thinking how lucky we are.

A near perfect surf at Mollymook Beach on ‘Father’s Day’ made for a great celebration in the water. With a mass of fish in the backwaters, the Mollymook ocean swimmers chose to swim in sooky corner or just go for a body bash whilst Angus chose his racing board.
