1. Mollymook marathon push-bike peddling champ, Ian gives a wrap up following the completion of their massive bike ride. Ian writes: “All 80 riders crossed the finishing line at Ariah Park on Saturday afternoon after a 130 km journey from Griffith. Fatigue and loss of concentration caused a few incidents but we all made it. l can tell you I am off the bike 🚴for awhile pending return to normal of certain parts of my lower anatomy returning to normal.

We have been privileged to meet some amazing athletes (para Olympians/basketballers and footballers) on the journey.

Last night at the Ariah Park  footy ground we had dinner with 300 others to wind up the ride and the great news was the event had generated over $450,000 to assist with research to find a cure for MND. The other great thing is our researchers are collaborating with other like minded  scientists throughout the world to help find a cure.

Leonie and I look forward to catching up with you all on our return to home. Again thanks for all your good wishes and support.”

2. Mollymook marathon swimming Champ, Graeme (Molly) Wolfenden writes about his fund-raiser for ‘Combating youth suicide’:

“I finished the 20 km swim with the final 6 km carried out in the Tomaree Olympic Pool, Nelson Bay.

I will be able to send you a certificate that includes the statistics when I receive it.

To date I have raised close to $1,400 though donations are still coming in.

So how good is Ian! I have a t-shirt pic (Don’t let the old man in) that describes Ian well.

3. Mollymook’s Paddling champ’s, Simone and Robbie. Simone writes: “Robbie and I competed at the  Port Stephens SUP challenge on the weekend. Proud of both our results. Robbie made it to the final of his division I, the SUP surfing to finish 4th, the condition in the final being rather difficult.

Robbie blitzed the Technical race winning his division, beating the Australian Champ.

I won the over 40 ladies final in the SUP surfing. It was a big decision to compete in the open woman’s thinking it was way out of my league. I went into the final calm,  no pressure, just don’t make an idiot of your self. I had some reasonable waves.  No results till the Presentation night, I was so stoked to take 3rd in the open woman’s SUP surfing, I had a huge compliment from a World Champ SUP surfer who said that I had read the surf the best and picked the best waves. So happy I also competed in the Technical race for the first time, coming in 4th after being hit by another competitor board. A fun time had by the Scott’s. “
