Pete’s operation:

This past week has been difficult for Pete and Jan. Originally scheduled for his knee operation last Monday week, February 13 only to be told he had been re-scheduled for Tuesday February 28. Then this week due to a clerical issue he was taken off the Feb 28 operating list with a future date unknown. Following frantic phone calls, the specialist has advised that Pete will be looked at as soon as they can fit him in, a possibility Wednesday March 1.

Autumn sunrises begin to appear a week early:

This past week the Mollymook swimmers were greeted by some lovely early morning sunrises to complement excellent swimming conditions with a water temperature reportedly around 23 c.

The Old & not so beautiful:

A pic of the Old & not so beautiful at Manly. They battled through the 100+ swimmers, a strong NE chop, lots of rubbish and a chilly 20.9C reports Roscoe. Tomorrow they are going down to Balmoral to “challenge” Dick Morath and crew. Regards. Ross, Graeme & “gentleman’ John.

Clean up Australia Day next Sunday March 5:

In conjunction with Monica and her ‘Take 3 for the Sea’ we are organising for swimmers and partners who wish to be involved to do a clean up from Collers Beach through to North Mollymook. (Dependent on numbers. Many hands make light work)

Plan to start at 8.00 am. Meet at the Golf Club car park and be finished by 9.00 am. Free coffee and cake will be provided courtesy of the Golf Club (John Holt).

Need to have an indication of numbers for planning purposes. Could you advise Monica or Ken during the next few days if you intend on participating.
