The 8.00 am Mollymook Swim Group

.

The 8.00 am swim group primarily consists of boat rowers and ski paddlers. Most have competed successfully in bygone years at State and National surf championships in the craft events and some still do in the master’s category. Pictured (L to R): Keith Claxton, Bernard Jones, Kel Burton, Rod Austin, Ken Burton, Russ Bartlett.

The 7.00 am Mollymook Ballerina Swim Group

Roscoe wrote of a strange phenomenon on Friday morning ,when a large group of elderly people attempted to put on a display of water ballet or as Sean put it “synchronised drowning”. I don’t think there was anything synchronised about it though. The group was led by a Grey haired lady from Canberra and very soon everyone was waving their arms about  and sticking their legs in the air before sinking and resurfacing with strange grins on their faces! The group, most of whom wish to remain anonymous, will know be known as MRSSSST! (Mollymook Reef Swimmers Senior Synchronised Swim Team).
