Photos and commentary courtesy Greg Young: Mollymook Ocean Swimmers enjoy a great weekend away. The group began by meeting up at Mogo for coffee before driving onto Narooma for a swim in Wagonga Inlet. Entering the water at the jetty near the bridge they were greeted by a local seal, string ray and plenty of fish. The water in Wagonga Inlet was a beautiful crystal clear turquoise colour, that had a serenity and calming effect. In fact the name Narooma is said to be derived from the Aboriginal word meaning ‘clear blue waters’.
After the Narooma swim , they all went to Tilba Valley Winery , for wine samples and a late lunch , before heading to Greg’s property for camp fire BBQ dinner and camping.
The following morning it was off to Mystery Bay for a swim. Some swam in the inner channel whilst others took to the area out past the rocks. Next stop was Central Tilba for coffee and breakfast, prior to their journey back to Mollymook. Brief but a great weekend away, enjoyed by all.
