Mollymook Ocean Swimmer, Peter the Priest shares his Isolation Story
Peter’s story from the Nightcliff N.T. Parish
Hello to all you wonderful Mollymook Ocean Swimmers,
I was hoping to come down in July … but alas, who knows if it is possible.
As the church buildings are closed and people aren’t allowed to attend services, we have been live-streaming on YouTube which can be seen later on demand.
So, the church has become an amateur studio and I have become an amateur Tele Evangelist! (photo below)
For the Easter Vigil mass, we attached a battery candle to each chair to represent the parishioners. (photo below).
It’s starting to head into the dry season which is of course the best time of the year.
The last row of photos: I am getting back into bike riding so I need to repair my bike, had two flat tyres the last time I ventured out. You see plenty of Frill neck lizards up here, they are a wonderful part of this suburb.
With the Golf courses closed, myself and a mate are doing some practice (exercise in two’s) on the local school oval.
And the last photo is from a couple of years ago, but worth adding to this email. Its of the snake I found in my shower, I didn’t realise it until I started to look up at the shower head!!
Miss you all and look forward to catching up again.
God bless, Fr Peter Hendriks MSC, Parish Priest, St Paul’s Parish, Northcliff NT
