Mollymook Ocean Swimmers, New Year’s Day 2022

Over 30 swimmers swam on New Year’s day, some missing from the pic got an early start, driving up to the north end and some others arrived late. First group of swimmers to arrive back at south Molly were Tim, Ray, and John, however some were of the belief that they took off ahead of the starter’s gun. So actual finishing positions are being reconsidered. Altogether about 30 odd swimmers were counted in the water. Special thanks to Kate, Simone, Robbie, Cheryl and Chris for providing water safety. (Birthday wishes to Robbie whose birthday was on the 2nd. Simone’s and Leckshe Losal whose birthday is today January 3.)

Paul and Karelle commit for life

Saturday was a beautiful day. Happiness was written all over the faces of the 80 or more family and friends who witnessed and shared in this special occasion for the union in marriage of these two lovely people. And yes it did rain, but no one was worried, the joy of the occasion far out weighed any occasional rain.

June 2021, Mike brings ‘Beatlemania’ to Mollymook

Night of Nights, the Beatles re-visited.

Wikipedia, give the following explanation in regard to Beatlemania. They say that the name of ‘Beatlemania’ was due the fanaticism surrounding the English rock band the Beatles in the 1960s. The press adopted the term “Beatlemania” to describe the scenes of adulation that attended the band’s concert performances. From the start of 1964, their world tours were characterised by the same levels of hysteria and high-pitched screaming by female fans, both at concerts and during the group’s travels.

Today, 2021 some 60 years on and we continue to see the female fans loving the ‘Beatles’ regardless of their age. The Beatles revisited event at the Mollymook Surf Club was an enormous success, thanks to Mike turning 64, supported by Ray, Llyod, Gerry, Tim and Dave. What a night, with so many getting into the spirit of the event wearing some amazing costumes and make-up.

August 2021, OUTCOMES from an extended lockdown

Simone one of NSW’s top female SUP riders struggling to stay upright.

What’s happening Ed? I thought you were going to show us your body surfing skills.

A number of swimmers entered the water in an endeavour to recapture their former surfing skills. Onlookers became dumbstruck, as they witnessed first hand the devastating effects the lockdown has apparently had, as these former top class athletes, struggled in their exercise routine.

The lock down continues in August – Exercise in two’s being watched by a couple of birds!

The boys loved performing for these two birds, and the birds loved it. Give us some more they screamed as they watched the action on top of the grandstand (Flag pole)!

It was Saturday and within the lock down rules the boys did their exercise in two’s. GOOD BOYS?

Well they were suppose to be solely doing their exercise, but when boys know they are being watched by some beautiful birds, they go all out to impress.

Garry and Lloyd on a collision course. (Lloyd looks the other way, “he is getting a bit close”.) Question: Who has right of way in body surfing?

Not to be out done, Chris signals the birdies, watch me, I’m about to do something different and it will be spectacular?

Unbeknown to Chris the birdies had taken off.

With an empty flagpole, Chris pushes on and puts his life on the line, just in case those beautiful two legged birds may have returned. (What men are prepared to do when they are being watched by a couple of pretty birds)

Also during lock down in August, Ed takes Andrew out to teach him body surfing
