Thursday morning the Mollymook Dolphins on show

It was Wednesday evening when the rains began to abate and a glimmer of sun light emerged in the night sky around 8.30 pm reflecting the possibility of a better tomorrow weather wise.

Thursday was magnificent, albeit still occasional showers, we awoke to a big surf running out front of the Mollymook Surf Club. Training was abandoned by the ski and board team in lieu of getting out among the big waves for some fun. Then to top off a glorious morning whilst enjoying a coffee at the Mollymook Beach Hut Cafe, the dolphins arrived to provide entertainment as they began ‘body surfing’ the waves.

Tony – climbs onto a monster wave

One of Mollymook’s most astute surfers, climbs onto a monster wave (no flippers) and rides it to the beach.

Angus Mollymook Iron-man takes advantage of the big surf

.

A day earlier, the ladies braved the big surf for a dip whilst on Thursday Angus was in his element riding wave after wave, whilst Dougie wisely chose to head to the sea pool in Ulladulla for his dip in the water.

Graeme W. (do you remember him, Teresa at the Beach Hut’s favourite customer) Graeme sent a text to say he still isn’t in his new home yet, still a few weeks to go, so he is continuing to enjoy his relatives hospitality. Although raining cats and dogs up his way he was about to take his morning plunge. Says hi to the gang. (We are all welcome to come and stay at Graeme’s whenever up that way, but I understand he would like us to book through Airbnb)
