Dolphins at North Mollymook

North Mollymook was the best spot for swimming last week whilst South Mollymook was subjected to strong Nor-East winds and currents. So the call was made to meet at North Molly last Thursday. However, apparently someone forgot to tell Issi, nonetheless all the swimmers were back at south Molly the following day albeit a little confused on where to swim due to the strong northerly current prevailing.

Swimmers choose North Mollymook for last Thursday’s swim due to the Nor-Easter & bumpy conditions at the South End

The ‘Octopus Garden Award‘ created by Mike G. for the annual ‘swimmer of the year’.

The ‘Octopus Garden Award: Why would Mike name this prestige award after an ‘Octopus’?  Mike is a Professor; so akin to his thinking and imagination there must be something about an ‘Octopus’, surely?

Well thanks to Michelle she recommended I watch on Netflix the movie/documentary ‘Octopus my teacher. Amazing, enlightening, highly recommended. A MUST WATCH.

Issi provides an update for our annual ‘night of nights’. The annual swimmers Christmas party and awards night is planned to be held at Issi’s place, 1 Forrest Way, Mollymook.

Date: Saturday December 19 from 5.30 pm. Rather than Issi cook for everyone, she has asked if we could all bring along a plate or two and we will have a humongous ‘Pot Luck’ feast to share.

Regarding alcohol. Issi’s not a big drinker so she suggests that it be a BYO evening, that way, each can enjoy what takes ones individual fancy.

COVID-19: It is hoped that the present COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted prior to Dec 19.  Should restrictions remain, Issi will provide an update well before Dec. 19
