Pam Burridge Surf School at Mollymook Beach

 

 

At the Pam Burridge surf school you will be able to learn to surf from the very best, assisted by fellow accomplished surf teachers who compliment one another to form the best surf school on the coast. These friendly coaches, make learning to surf a fun experience. All gear is supplied and they cater for youngsters from the age 5 and up. During the summer holiday period they have lessons everyday except Xmas & Boxing Day. 

Besides learning to ride a surf board, one can also learn to ride a Stand Up Paddle-board (SUP) with the Pam Burridge Surf School on the calm lakes and waterways nearby at Burrill Lakes, Narrawallee and occasionally at Lake Conjola. Each have a beautiful backdrop with lovely views. Riding a SUP can be learnt quickly, just need to concentrate on your balance that most people don’t even get wet as you glide along.

Thereafter once you have learned the basics you can hire surfboards, SUPs and wetsuits from Pam Burridge to get out into the water and practice.

Pam Burridge is recorded as one of the pioneers of Women’s surfing in Australia. She began competing back in 1977 and continued through until 1999. During that time Pam Burridge won the women’s World Surf Riding Championships in 1990. During this period Pam built the envious record winning the New South Wales Women’s Surf Riding Championship, the Australian Women’s Surf Riding Championships, the World Surf Riding Championships. She was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame and inducted into the Australian Surfing Hall of Fame
