A catch up on ‘who is doing what’ to fill in their time during the COVID lockdown
Today’s news come to you from Agnes water / 1770 Qld., Lockhart, country NSW and Dave at the re-opening of the Dawn Fraser pool at Balmain.

John writes: “Well I finally got to my new home beach last week. It was a 12 hour drive from home to Agnes water / 1770. Swimming in the ocean for 7 days, 21degs water temp. Now I’m back in Charleville, waiting for the Ward River to warm up. No masks or lockdown here, gotta love Queensland. See you on a beach somewhere, sometime. John”. (For the newer swimmers, John was the originator of the Mollymook Swim group. Refer to your swimmers book to see the huge amount of leadership, inspiration and fun he was responsible for. A great guy)

Leonie writes: “Thank you for all the wonderful articles on the Mollymook ocean swimmers. Certainly some talented people in our wonderful group. The “girls”, what an inspiration.
We are in Lockhart beginning the ‘pack up’ of our house. A bit of reminiscing going on prior to our permanent move to the beautiful coast. Hello to you all. Leonie and Ian”.

Well I didn’t first recognise Dave with his mask on, but as he said, in Sydney you dare not go anywhere without your mask.
Dave writes: “Hope you’re all well and that the forthcoming opening of regional travel is good for local businesses. I’ve been really enjoying the Mollymook swimmers posts, catching up on what the swimmers are up too. I’m looking forward to getting back to Mollymook, just as the water starts warming a little.
In the meantime, this weekend I have had a couple of swims on the Parramatta River at Dawn Fraser Baths in Balmain. The Council has just spent $10m on restoring the timber decking and change rooms. It’s a bit more regulated than Woolwich, where I’ve been the past few weeks, with lane ropes and life guards. However, a couple of beautiful swims on the high tide.
All public pools are opening next week, so some of the swimmers here may retreat to the heated waters. Cheers Dave”
