A leisurely walk before my swim taking a few bird pics. What could go wrong?

Met Simone and Heather coming in the opposite direction.

Nice to meet up with fellow ocean swimmers also having an early morning walk.
Afterwards I couldn’t find a bird! Where had they all gone? Why would they just disappear? Could it have been the noise?
Every day I see plenty of Blue Wrens and Grey Fantails on the grassed area’s near Blackwater Creek. On this day, as on previous days, I saw many, then they disappeared completely. Noise?
Then I looked up, and noticed a flock of Black Swans above, but they too began to ascend higher into the sky.

What a different morning.
Plenty of birds near the Blackwater Creek, then for whatever reason, they disappeared. Then back in the peace and quiet at the Surf Club, there were so many birds.
The above are just a small selection of the birds near the Surf Club for illustrating in this post. There were many more birds in the scrub near the surf club viz; Little Wattle Birds, Rainbow Lorikeets, Little Corella’s, Crimson Rosella’s, Laughing Kookaburra’s, Australian Magpies, on the beach there were; Silver Gulls, Crested Ferns, and on the grass area; Australian Wood Ducks, Common Blackbirds, and so many Indian (common) Miners.
Then I arrive home and ‘Maggie’ from the Golf Club is with June on our back deck.

But back to the ‘Mystery’.
What happened to all those birds at ‘Blackwater Creek’ upon meeting Simone and Heather?
