At Tallwood we sampled small portions of the chef’s amazing signature dishes, all in one sitting with carefully chosen and amazing wines to accompany each respective dish. It was an appreciative fine dining experience of carefully chosen foods that focused on the gustatory system and the senses, with a high culinary art. It was shared with great company, family and friends. Guests asked me to make special mention that there was no fuss whatsoever in catering for some of our guests who had special dietary requirements viz, gluten free and vegetarian. All dishes were of the highest standard.

Scallops: plump and tender scallops packaged in exotic betel leaves – a bountiful bite!

Desert: a delightful mess of textures and honeycomb, chocolate and Frangelico flavours.

Wine: …and 10/10 for the wines! A fitting celebration and a very memorable meal for Ken’s 70th.

Rick W. ‘Melbourne Gourmet Guru’ wrote: If you are like us and enjoy cutting edge dining – consider a South Coast meets Barcelona experience here in Mollymook, one of the best kept secrets south of Sydney – Tallwood Restaurant. A finely planned degustation meal, matched with local and imported wines helped set off the flavours and tongue textures of the small but satisfying dishes from starters through to an ice- cream semi-fredo to die for. Modern decor with a sharp vibe helped round out this experience. Of course you can make your own combinations using the Tapas style of this restaurant. Do yourself a favour and don’t miss out.

London bound Rachael McN. & Victorian visitor Brian added their comments: No one at the table of 12 could have thought of a more amazing desert.
