.

Guests at Mollymook Beach Waterfront and the Beach View cottage are excited to hear that the Golfie will again serve its Tapas menus over Easter, similar to its great success over the past Christmas holiday period, albeit it will be upstairs in the cafe area rather than downstairs as was the case over Christmas. Besides lovely food you can enjoy the best ocean views in the district. Highly recommended by  guests from the award winning 4 1/2 star accommodation at Mollymook Beach Waterfront.

Mollymook Golfer Completes ‘Nullarbor Links’ – The Worlds Longest Golf Course

Nullarbor Links Golf Course stretching from Kalgoorlie W.A. to Ceduna S.A.

.

A unique concept creates the ‘World Longest Golf Course’ that stretches 1,365 Km across the great expanse, namely the Nullarbor Plains. The courses varies in quality from the amazing Kalgoorlie course with its undulating ‘greens’, grass fairways and the ‘rough’ consisting of fine red dirt to the unique ‘links’ along the various roadhouses with their synthetic tees and greens, wildlife and a variety of fairways, each with their own degree of difficulty. A great feature of the Nullarbor course is that it helps break up the long haul across the Nullarbor with each link adding so much variety and challenge.

A huge crowd estimated at more than 2000 people descended on the Ulladulla ExServos Club for the 6.00 am Saturday morning dawn service to commemorate the centenary of the landing on Gallipoli.

.

Swim and Anzac Day Cake – Mollymook Beach

.

Following the dawn service, attendees dispersed throughout the Ulladulla Mollymook Milton area. The ocean swimmers met at the surf club, undertook their customary swim to the ‘Reef & Return’ and then enjoyed coffee at the Beach Hut cafe with a wonderful ‘Anzac Day’ cake prepared for the occasion by Sue. Later many asked for the recipe.

Sue’s Anzac Day Cake recipe:

  • Ingredients:
  • 125 g butter
  • 2/3 cup golden syrup
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup SR flour
  • 1 1/3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 2/3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • Instructions: Melt butter and golden syrup in saucepan then remove from heat. When cooled beat in the eggs. Mix together the flour, rolled oats, coconut and sugar in a bowl. Pour egg mixture into the bowl and combine. Place in a prepared cake tin and cook for 40mins or until done at 170 degrees.
  • Enjoy, Sue
